Frank Tearle and Justin Epstein who were two directors sanctioned for “misleading” conduct by ASIC were allowed to oversee a $124 million fund for fugitive businessman Michael Gu and are accused of helping him perpetuate one of the largest scams in Australian corporate history. The $124 million the trio oversaw is now missing and part of an estimated $350 million owed to creditors by Mr Gu and his offsider Harry Huang, who have both fled the country.
