Luxury assets seized from Plutus tax fraudster – 8 February 2021
Taxpayers have retrieved almost $16 million in assets from one of the architects of the massive Plutus Payroll tax fraud by founder Simon Anquetil. Anquetil admitted to conspiring to defraud the Commonwealth by siphoning off taxes owed from the payroll business, into a complex network of companies over three years.

Cann Group flags $3.6m cyber security fraud – 8 February 2021
Medical cannabis company “Cann Group” is seeking to recover $3.6 million now missing after paying an overseas contractor for works being undertaken at its Mildura facility. Those payments were a result of a complex and sophisticated cyber fraud perpetrated against the company and its overseas contractor.
NAB forced to repay customer $231,000 for failing to keep records – 7 February 2021
NAB has repaid an elderly couple $231,157 lost in a scam after it was unable to prove to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority it warned them about the risks.
